You won't have any issues. Just get your LED replacement size/brightness and none will care.

No way! Like someone mentioned above I think as long as it's white and not red or something :P Lexus has an LED over their plates stock so you'll be fine.

Like SSG said as long as they are white you will be fine. A lot of people put in bright blue ones which may bring a lot of attention to your car.

:No Homo Smiley
Yeah same goes for smoked plate covers. It will all depend on the cop who decides to or decides not to pull you over.

blue covers is a no no ... clear plate covers are OK as long they don't cover the ONTARIO and YOURS TO DISCOVER on the plate.

this is wrong, anything covering the plates (does not matter what colour or how much it covers) is illegal, but like tints it's up to the cop if they want to give you a ticket.

+1. But lets not turn this into a plate cover thread.

Thanks for the info guys.I was a little scared after reading an article about how
cops could ticket you for having plate covers i thought they would be strict on led lights too(even white). but it seems stupid to ticket someone for having thier plates MORE visible (which would make thier job easier).every dealer puts plate covers on new vehicles so i guess 90%:loco:loco:loco:loco of cars are driven illegeally

Yeah... I haven't seen 1 dealer that doesn't put plate covers on their cars anymore.
But, just to be safe, when I bought the TM3 plate covers, I trimmed the rear ones xD

technically illegal just like HIDs since they did not pass or go through SAE tests

Ash I believe lexus lic. plate lights aren't LED. I think they are cold cathode from my understanding.
