View Full Version : Squeaking suspension...

So it seems my (stock) front suspension is squeaking when I go over largely uneaven roads and speedbumps... Squeaking is kind of weak wording - this was pretty loud. I don't notice any noise coming from the rear, but it just started occuring last night. With 58k or so on the clock, i'm thinking I should get this looked at immediately, since the factory warranty goes to 60k. I did however purchase the "MAPS" coverage for another year and another 20k, but i'm not sure if it covers this problem.
Anyone know if they'll cover this?

The factory warranty goes at 80k so definitely get it looked at.

Factory warranty expires at 3years or 80,000km, whichever comes first.
There is a TSB for this. Take it to the dealer and have them fix it.

It happens to all aftermarket suspensions.. *unsure of stock* but we have been getting cold weather similar to last years which caused my TEINS, KYB, and now BC Coilovers to squeak...

My car does the same thing...first squeaks and now sounds like a crunching noise :whoa
I have an appt with MOT on Thursday and we'll see what the issue is and how much its going to cost.

Just got back form MOT and they say its the aftermarket swaybar bushings that are causing the noise. (My rear ones make noise but not as much since i have greaseable ones.)
Therefore going to throw the stock one back on.

Did you get them switched back and re-examined after and was the noise still there?

I got Jimmy @ Speed Performance to swap out the aftermarket one and put back in the stock. No more noise.
