The ambient lighting kit comes on the GT right? does it just consist of the blue footwell lights?

I also have a 2010 GS and have footwell lights on my list of things, but only when you open the doors.

You guys can try using led strips like many members have done for footwell lighting. Pm me if you guys are interested in them.

Sorry, we don't do installs. But I've had quite a few members go to Dan for installs.

Dan will do this for u guys.
Its not that hard. If u dont want to slice any wires, simply run a wire through one of your fuses in the passenger side fuse box. Run a + from the fuse and a negative can be attached anywhere to the body of the car. LEDS sp3GT or nextmod are great choices because they last long and leds dont use up much power

If I wanted it to only light up when the doors are open, do I have to hook it up to the map light or is there a better source?

I haven't looked into the wiring but map light sounds good cause I think that would give you the option to turn it off too if you don't want them on.
