car starts only on neutral

This problem is intermittent but sometimes It wont start in park.I either have to go to neutral or move the shifter around a few times,then it will start.Did anyone experience this exact problem?

I searched around the forum but I didnt find any specifics on troubleshooting other than changing the starter relay or the starter.I dont think its any of those since it starts no problem in neutral and when I move my stick shift a few times it will start,there must me somekind of switch somewere.
