2010 Mazda3 - Background noise/static from Bose radio

Have any other 2010 owners noticed this very apparent background static/hiss coming from the Bose sound system? It's apparent on any of the input modes - Bluetooth, radio, CD, Sirius.

Without any music playing, you can very clearly hear this issue "turn on" by switching from Volume at 0 to Volume at 1.

I've come across at least two other people with Bose systems commenting on the exact same thing in other Mazda3 forums.

I drive a M3 2006 and I get that once in a while only and then the static goes away when listening to music on my Coolnavi.

Civuk, I'm having exactly the same problem on my new 2010 Mazda 3 s GT - were you ever able to resolve the issue on yours? If so, any tips are much appreciated!
