Hey guys,
I have an '08 mazda3 without HIDs and I want to install the HIDExtra.com H7 kit onto the car.
Do i need anything besides the kit they sell? I know I need a bulb spacer, does anyone know if hidextra.com includes it with the kit?
Does the 2008 (not 08.5) need any mod for DRL/flickering? My reading thus far seems to indicate that the flickering/DRl stuff only applies to 2004-2006 MZ3s - is that right?
Thanks guys!!

No you should not need any DRL/flickering mods, as from 07 on, the DRLs are the high beams.

Why did you make this thread asking about the DRL flicker? I just answered your question here.

Also - why buy from a US store when you can get similar pricing locally.

Sorry guys - I included the flickering question here, but the main purpose of my post was to see if anyone had had any problems installing the HIDextra kit, tis on sale for $54 shipped, seemed like a good deal, as I am in Calgary, not T.O.
For the spacer, can you re-use the stock H7 spacer, or did you have to make your own?

you can use stock H7 spacers, but only if you are planning to throw out your stock H7 bulbs

Thanks for the reply - I assume you mean I'd need to cut up the stock spacers to get them to work, thereby making them usless if I decide to go back to halogen?

You don't need to cut up anything stock.
Go to HomeDepot and buy some drain plugs. Trace the H7 stock spacer on it and use an exacto knife to cut it out. You'll need two drain plugs per side I think.
