Item wanted : 47" LG 60hz 1080p TV price $899 but I only paid $830 :chuckle
0140hrs: I woke up showered and went to bestbuy to see how long the line was. Once I arrived there was only 5 teenagers who have been there since 12. SO I decided to come back around 0250hrs.
0250hrs: Picked up a cranky tired GF and went to timmies to get some java and wait in line.
0600 hrs: After a long wait and not winning the $500 gift card we grabbed our things (blueray player movie) and headed in line to go get the TV.... now with the store only being open for 5 minutes there was a HUGE wait for a cashier to ring in our goods and the TV (We were 8th in line originally in line outside so the store filled up quick ) . Alright so the TV was purchased everything was good.... but wait :flaming now we had to wait in another LONG ass line just to get out of the store.... than wait in line with my truck just to get the TV......
0730 hrs: Yes 1.5 hours it took for me to wait in line to pay and leave after waiting 3+ hours outside in the rain (think I got there at 2 not 250. Went home dropped the TV off.
0800hrs : wanted to go to JYSK to get the $20 TV stand normal price was 119$ sooo I thought I was getting a good deal. ....... arrived at 0800hrs and SOLD OUT :bang
This is where the day get's worse remember running on no sleep
0830hrs: Go to the BRICK.... #$*^&#$*(&@*!&@# NEVER SHOP AT THIS POS STORE EVER!!!!!!! I get there and my friend works there and says hey man we got a TV stand on sale normal price is $250 onsale for $100 so good deal all wood pay for it and go to the back to pick it up
Now I speak to the most unintelligent person alive... he states "ummmm ya.... the stand you want is missing peices you want it or u wanna wait till the 10th when we get more in. Remember I just paid for the damn thing and ya....... :whoa WTF!!!! So..... I stated "Are you $%$ing kidding me I just paid for something that was promised to be new get your manager After 20 minutes waiting no manager...... I demand he pages again.... still nothing I go into the store and speak to a clerk and DEMAND to speak to a manager.... oh course he says sorry and there is nothing he can do.... SO 1. they sell broken shit 2. they don't care about their customers 3. They hire people who smoked sooo much pot they can't spell their own name. :loco So I get a refund leave the store with a sour taste in my mouth and continue to chain smoke and make my way over to leons.
0900 hrs: Make my way to leons ... find an amazing deal a black glass TV stand with an attached wall mount regular price is $600 I get it for 160$ because the salesmen feels bad for me :headbang
The day just get's even worse
After a couple hours of putting everything together and connecting everything.... my massive TV is complete. Fire it up and play some COD the gun is the size of my arm :headbang... So I leave it and do some more shopping
1700hrs : Turn the TV back on .... NO SIGNAL @!@!!!!!!!:flaming:flaming:flaming:flaming now your thinking gotta be the cables..... nope :bang:bang I was sold a lemon after only 1 hour of use the HDMI ports blew.... I'm not shitting you ...... I will never buy a POS LG again .
So at this point I'm cursing and swearing ready to take the TV and throw it against a wall when something... THE ONLY THING good happened. Someone with Christmas cheer helped me out.
A co-workers son works for the Geek Squad and out of desperation I called him up at work and asked if his son was working. He said no :bang... 10 minutes later I hear a knock on my door.... This guy shows up states that he is my co-workers son and works for the Geek Squad and would fix my SHITTY LG TV . After over an hour or so of trouble shooting my HDMI still did not work. He states the HDMI ports are $%#*ed and has never seen this before with over 5 years with the company . (we plugged my new blueray player/PS3 into my old TV worked fine with the cables).
He states... how about this.... I will give you a brand new sony bravia 46" for $880 with a 4 year warrenty.
At this point I shit my pants.. lol
We loaded my TV back in the box went to Best Buy and he got me the TV for the right price and installed it .
