Went into Westowne Mazda last week for an oil change and to have them look at my brakes. I normally go to Westowne, and my experiences there have always been positive overall. I had been noticing a lot of vibration when braking at highway speeds. They clearly advised what the cost would be for the brake inspection, and that if it was warranty related, this charge would be waved. They came back to me 15 - 20 mins later to let me know that they noticed that my front rotors were warped, and (to my surprise!) that they would be replacing them at no charge under warranty. These were the original rotors on my 07 3 sport, with roughly 50,000 km on them. This was definitely a pleasant surprise for me. I assumed that they would say that this sort of thing happens, and is considered ware and tear. I never expected them to replace rotors under warranty, especially since my old protege 5 seemed to eat rotors for breakfast, and I never was able to have them replaced under warranty. All in all, the experience was very positive, as usual. I just thought this specific experience was the "icing on the cake" so to speak.
