Well, I am thinking of trading wheels and want some opinions from you all.
Ever since seeing Unoriginalusername's MS3 with the powder coated MS6 wheels I have loved that look. I was just never able to find a set at a reasonable price to do so. Now I can do it for very minimal costs and think I will go through with it and have them coated slightly darker than the last picture.
Thanks to Unoriginalusername for photoshopping his old wheels onto a white MS3 for me.
What do you all think?

No, the second car is lowered more than mine. Mine still sits like in the first picture.

I've always had a "thing" for the MS6 wheels - go for it - or at least tell me where you found em so I can get them instead! :)

Both those wheels look great, but if you prefer the MS6s, just go for it.

Well I'm going against everyone else lol. I like the ones you have. Personally, I think the BBS ones are mint. Don't get me wrong, the MS6 rims would look good too.

Honestly...they both look good as much as I like OEM rims.

I like your current setup, I LOVE oem rims...just picked up a minty fresh set of 2010 Speed3 rims for my 2010 hatch...but your current rims are just plain badass.
I love 'em! MS6 rims are nice too, but your car will look a little less nasty if you go that route.
My 2 cents!

I want MS6 wheels very badly. I would definitely buy the MS6.

Are they the same size? The first set looks smaller, I like the MS6 better.

That second pic looks hot, SP6 rims if you can find them! Cant wait to put mine back on after looking at that pic!

They are the same size, 18". I think it's the car and the wheels in the shop that weren't quite to scale.

If I lowered it to that height I wouldn't be able to drive it around here at all in the winter. And a winter beater is not an option.

I have a guy that wants my rims for his MS6. He has painted his MS6 wheels black, (a poor job he says as it is starting to flake off) but that wouldn't matter much to me for powder coating anyways. He's going to trade me his rims and tires for mine and throw in some cash to help with the powder coating costs on my end.
I've told him it's a go at this point and am just waiting until maybe April to do the swap. He has his rims on right now with a set of winter tires.
Thanks for all the comments guys.

MS6 look pretty sweet.
Like everyone else... either set works with your ride.
Personally, I'd go with the MS6 wheels. Both look great though...

The Speed6 wheels look amazing on your car. Both setups are great but I prefer the Speed6 wheels to your current rims.
More unique too.

MS6 wheels are now starting to appear up for sale down in the states.
I'm impartial to the vote as I'm biased.:chuckle

2010 might be the year that OEM rims are back in amongst TM3ers. Almost everyone is trading/selling their aftermarket rims for OEMs.

OEM wheels seem to have really exploded in this area, while in the US, it is the same...everyone wants anything BUT OEM rims LOL
Good for us I guess!
I think keep your current set up....
Is the MS6 rims the same as the MS3??

No, the MS6's are the 2nd image he has and the MS3's is my signature pic.
Looks almost the same to me and he got rid of his MS3 rims for something else...which to me makes no sence to buy rims that look almost the same as to what he all ready had

All in all I regretted giving up my 08.5 MS3 rims.
Even though I'm not a huge fan of the MS3 rim 10 spoke design and preferred the look of the MS6's, especially powder coated gun metal. Now I have a chance to get these wheels that I have liked all along for a decent price so I might as well go for it I figure.
We shall see how things unfold.
Hey if you realy like them go for it...you can see in the pole that everyone wants you to go with the MS6 rims:)

Ok, thanks for the comments everyone.
Now colour for the MS6s?
I was thinking either a bronze (like Fobio's RX8s he had), dark bronze (like the BMW wheel below) or a dark gun metal. Is gunmetal going to be overplayed by this summer?
What do you think? I am really liking the dark bronze, or the gun metal to be safe.

There was a guy up the hwy here that warranties his work for ever and his quality looked good.
