Hey guys,

I've noticed my 2010 3 GT HB, with 10k KM on it, has been getting a rocking noise (sounds like a rock hitting the bottom of the car or tirewall) in some random ocasssion (i say 1 in every...15 or 20 turns that i make).

The speed going into these turns are typically slow (between 20 to 30km/h MAX) and which I didn't notice the increase of frequency as to which side I turn. I have brought it into toronto mazda to have a look and road test but they couldn't recreat that noise during the road test....

Any speculation as to what can causes it?

Where is the noise coming from, front or back, drivers or passenger side?

It comes from the front, somewhere from the right side from the drive side (not sure if that's from the center or passenger side)

I would hope the motor mount issues have been fixed by 2010, but that is something. Also, loose / broken front end link; bad LCA bushing; loose/broken strut; or loose wheel would be my first guess. Have you looked to see if anything is out of place?

I don't really know where to look for something like that, but I'll probably drop by the dealership sometime this week and let them have a look at it again. Hopefully they can check all those out.

Thanks Jason

Rock flying up while turning hitting the underside of the car? Lol i get this alot, not sure if this is wat your hearing or not though .:D Does this sound more like a pop ? Could be you have loose end link? since your car is so new i wouldnt think it needs replacing.
