Anyone else have any issues with their speakers, now I'm no sound system specialist but it sounds as if my front drivers side speaker is blown when there is bass in a song.

If so, does warrenty cover speakers?

I'm no sound system specialist either but I'm sure if you take your car to your local dealership, they'll determine whether or not they're faulty or if you were the cause. As long as they're faulty, they should be covered under warranty.

I'd like to, but can't seem to find the time to do it, i'll try calling tomorrow and see how long it will take to examine the problem and let you know.

As for me being the problem, I highly doubt it, yes I like my music loud but not full blast, and I've never put my BASS over 2.

Could be faulty wiring. Keep us posted!

I keep my bass and treble at 6. the speakers should be able to take it as long as you let them warm up first on cold days...

I've experienced the same thing, but I've found that when I lean againt the door with a little force the "distortion" goes away. I'm thinking that its a loose panel in the door or something.

If you get any information from the dealer post it up.

I've got the same thing. At first I thought it was my lighter rattling around in the plastic door pocket but then I took the lighter out. I find it is with a rolling bass line and a heavy deep bass is when the speakers sound like crap!

I've got the same thing. Not even with bass, I can just here it fuzzling and rattling.
Going to take it into to get it checked, I don't even listen to my music loud, 10-20 volume, no playing around on the EQ.
Faulty 2010 wiring?

Had this problem too, but its actually nothing to do with the speakers.
If the rattling is on the driver side just roll down the window a bit and the rattling stops. It's just the vibrations from the speakers that rattles the window when its fully closed, seems like that area between the top of the door frame where the window sits causes the rattling when the bass kicks in.

I test drove a GS with the 6-speak setup and I noticed this. I'm hoping when my 4-speaker GX comes in March it won't be doing this. I won't drive it off the lot if it's acting up.

quick question: if I did want to replace the stock speakers, what sizes/other restrictions do I have?

I've been noticing some distortion as well. At first I thought it was the cover over the speaker but now I am thinking it is something higher up on the door that is vibrating.

I think this is normal.... mazda 3 are cheaply built, my door panel and window rattles like crazy when the song has heavy bass...

My 2010 GT was bought last year in August. The Bass is heavy on most songs even when set to 0 but I don't get this rattling or distortion. I am pretty happy with how they sound so won't be replacing them.

I'm having a similar problem... but I'm quite sure it's realted to panels shaking due to the sound from the speaker and not a faulty speaker. I have also only noticed it on the driver side speaker. And in addition, the noise also stops with cracking the window open or leaning on the arm rest.

So maybe the tweeters are just too powerful for the little 3 and they're shaking it to bits :chuckle

Well so far I've had my front passenger door speaker replaced and now my left, rear speaker is acting up.
I'm hearing is a crackling sound whenever there's base involved. Weird thing is, I never have my music cranked up.

I wouldn't say that, I have 100watts running to each speaker in my doors, (No sound deadening) and I experience no rattling whatsoever...Must be some other issue. As for the OP...just get new speakers, the oems suck anyways.

Yes warranty should cover the speakers.
