I was on my way to the hotpot restaurants that some members recommended for my 1st time and i was all excited to go.

load the car up with some ppl and take off. 2 exits before hurontario street some chick approx 300 meters in front of me ...... (this is in her words now) "went over the rumble strip" (there is no rumble strip just about 5 inches of gravel before the barrier) "and the tires locked up and started spinning out, so i tried to over correct to the right than started to lose control going and tried to over correct left" mind you this is going at least 130ish.

she smashed her front end spun and continued to smash her back end. there was quite a bit of traffic behind me and i couldn't just slam on my breaks so i had to slow down moderately and ran over some debris (1/2 a bumper):flaming so now my fog light is out of the housing and my alignment feels weird, it was very bad as i was driving to the police station to fill out a report when i got in my car after grabbing something else to eat close by i drove home it still felt a little off but much better than before.

now the police said they have to notify my insurance and i should do the same.

1st off i wanna know ... is there ne thing that would have the insurance raise my rates? is there n e thing that will tarnish my perfect record?

2nd of all... this isn't considered getting into a accent to them is it? ( like i said i was 300 meters away from them and just hit her debris which was scattered all over the high way not just to the one lane.

3rd of all.. ya shes fine she walked out of it fine walked to the ambulance and they took her to get checked out.

4th of all... yes im sure her night was ruined aswell and she in much worse case than i am but as far as im concerned right now... she can make her own thread if she wants sympathy.

I agree. The police usually don't care if you report it to your insurance or not. The choice is up to you, not theirs.

im not 100% sure cuz it was rly cold and i wanted to get some heat ( i know i should listened )

he specifically said

"you may as well call ur insurance about this n let them know since ill have to contact them anyways to give them a copy of the report, they will find out anyways"

but from my buddy who was with me he said

because your car was damaged they're required to so it's all on record.. so i don't just call up my insurance n blame a whole crap load of things on her. n get stuff fixed free

I went to the reporting centre and just filed a report, thinking not to involve my insurance...

within 2 days they called, told me I wasn't at fault and advised me to get repaired for free. I almost wanted to argue with them...then I realize I pay those blood-suckers a monthly premium and it's time to make a claim.

I made sure that it wouldn't affect my premium etc...but still blood suckers...their recommended shop charged $2800 to repaint 2 panels...
