Hi all,

I have been searching for an answer, sifting through threads but have not come across anything similar.

I have an '06 hatch and on occasion - when i am driving my font end creaks over any bump - the bigger the louder it gets. It sounds like it is coming from the front. If I roll my window down it doesn't necessarily get louder which is puzzling to me.

It can last all drive. Then when I park and it sits - it may not be there the next time I drive it - and may stay away for days or even weeks.

My questions are A) anyone know what it could be
B) if it is bushings, or motor mounts, bearings etc - wouldn't it always be consistently there?

The last thing I want to do is bring it in for service and replace a bunch of parts and be out of a lot of money (warranty ended) and have the damn creak still be there.

BTW my car only has 38,xxx kms on it (bought it second hand a year ago with 18k on it)

TIA

sounds like the lower control arms might need replacing. I'm pretty certain that's covered under warranty. Bring it to your dealer. Since it's '07, also have a recall check done on it, they've been having some rust issues.
