does anybody have a prob with there 3's (mines 07 speed3) having the e brake light come on under left hand turns (mostly sweeping turns not so much short right angle turns? Also happens under normal braking sometimes, like coming to a stop at a light or stop sign? I know I can take this in as a warranty issue but thought i'd check to see if this is something others have experienced.

Hey blackspeed3,

I would imagine you have a cold air intake and sometimes the wires for the MAF sensors tend to strech or so and call out all sorts of lights.. you can check that point.. I mean I had my break light engine light thrown on because of a pulled wire..

also could be the the connector for your handbreak lever is loose or pulled...

Just my guesses.

In some cars (check your manual), the hand-brake light also functions as a brake fluid light. Check your brake fluid level. (turning and braking sloshes the fluid to a side far from the sensor, hence it comes on only when you do certain things.)

Thats odd because I've had the cobb intake in for over a year and a half and this has only been going on maybe 3 months.

the brake light will come on if the brake fluid is low... it is very unusual for brake fluid to leak, BUT the brake fluid level will go down as your brake pads wear... when you replace the brake pads, the fluid will be back up where it belongs

SO check your brake pads first!

the brakes on the car stop the same as when i got the car...it only has 30k on it and i dont track the car or drive abnormally hard. I'll check the brake fluid, and although I haven't checked the pads I know there fine...no noise and still stop on a dime

just because it stops fine doesn't mean the pads aren't worn
the ms3 brake pads aren't known to last... just like most performance brakes
