I used to work in a warehouse every summer for 4 years as a student worker at my mom's company. It was pretty cush, let me tell you. I didn't really complain other than 12 hour continental shift seriously cut into my 19 year old party self back in the day. hahaha but it paid for my college tuition every year so it was worth it. :)

And with breaks every 2 hours it wasn't that bad.

For the last 2 summers I worked at Better Beef/Cargill in Guelph. The first summer I was working the production floor, but last summer I worked in shipping, and I have to say, that's gotta be worse than your warehouse job. Our warehouse is refrigerated, and once in a while we need to go into the freezer warehouse, which is -25*C. Oh well, it paid for my car.

I don't full time. IT in the office but there will be times I need to go into the warehouse to fix their computers. Kitchen manufacturing so there's sawdust everywhere...

I've been working in warehouses for over 5 years now and winter is the worts time for this type of job, its just like being outside even with heaters all around the warehouse, althoug for the last couple years I got lead hand position so now spend most of my time in the office. :)

My wife used to work in a warehouse. She liked the exercise she got loading trucks. She didn't like the pay, lack of intellectual stimulation and the morons she worked with (particularly those who didn't shower).

I work in the Tim Hortons distribution center in Guelph. The pay isn't bad and I have a pretty easy job there. I spend most of my time on the refrigerated dock that's supposed to be kept at 2-3 degrees. Though it's hovering in the negatives right now. I used to work in the freezer which was -22 degrees.

i work part-time at a shipping company by the airport, the pay is alright for a uni student, i guess its enough to get by. I drive a forklift and i unload and load trailers. It gets really hot and humid in the summer, and the warehouse is heated in the winters but the trailers are always freezing.

I work warehouse. When the dock door is open you get the cold but we got a huge heater vent. Doesn't do much when the doors open but when its closed it keeps the place toasty. I work for Sporting Life

I worked in many warehouse when I was a student...nissan, private members, homesense/winners.....probably good part time job to kill time and many $ with it....but I never like it....physical job, people in the office have a bigger nose and you will wear the dirty clothes the whole day.
