So about 2 week my car wouldn't honk back when I pressed the lock button on my keyless. The alarm was armed as I saw the it on the dashboard and I even tested it and it alarmed.

But for the life of me I couldn't figure out why it won't honk back or why none the lights would flicker when pressing LOCK as it did when I pressed unlock.

SO present day I had my back turned walking to my workplace and I pressed the lock on my keyless and it honked back and flickered its lights back like normal. Had to do it again just to make sure it was my car.

Anyways what did I do?

Yes that would make sense. My trunk doesn't 'pop' up and it's really sealed tight all the time so i could never tell if my trunk is open. Thanks!

Wasn't there some programming that could be done to prevent the honks?

it won't honk or blink again if the car is already locked and armed

i agree its really hard to tell if the trunk is open,
it doesnt pop it just like unlatches and you have to pull it up,
pretty much whenever my alarm didnt honk i knew something was open and its always the trunk

It won't blink again but it will honk repeatedly if you continue to press the button.
