Here are the specs of the short shifter that most people will be interested in:
-35% throw reduction due to relocated pivot point on the transmission end
-CNC machined of high strength steel
-Multiple Attachment Points: twice that of the competition; exclusive to TWM!
-Adjustable counter weight: another feature that is exclusive to TWM!
-Easy installation with simple hand tools
-Stainless steel hardware, grease and loctite included
-Available in combo with TWM aluminum base bushings and weighted shift knobs
**** Exclusive features to TWM Performance’s 2010 Mazda Speed3 Short Shifter ****
Adjustable Counterweight: When everyone here at TWM Performance tested the prototype shifter on the 2010 Speed3, some commented on how the “weight” of the shifter felt awkward and too heavy with the short shifter installed, and others loved the feel. Therefore, we designed a lightweight counterweight which can be adjusted from “very light” all the way up to the weight of the stock counterweight which gives a heavy feel! You now have the freedom to adjust the feel of the shifter to your specific preference!
Multiple attachment points: The TWM Performance shifter plate is the only one that is secured with 4 bolts which assures that the short shifter plate is 100% level, and secure when installed. This avoids any unwanted stress on the cables due to an unlevel shifter plate which could cause premature wear in the cables.

For those of you looking for an alternative to our 07-09 TWM Mazda Speed3 short shifter that does not reduce the shifter height, this short shifter plate also fits your car! So now you can get the same amazing throw reduction without having to reduce the shifter shaft height for people who like the stock height.
Aluminum base bushings
Don’t forget to add a kit of aluminum base bushings to your TWM Performance short shifter for a crisper and more precise shift feeling. Installed inside the car at the base of the shifter assembly, our solid bushings replace the stock mushy rubber bushings to achieve a more direct and sportier feeling on the stock shifter. They are a must have addition with the short shifter! You can add them to your short shifter order for $19.95, a saving of $5 as compared to the retail price of the bushings alone.
TWM weighted shift knobs
We also recommend to order any of our weighted shift knob in combo with the short shifter to improve even further the shifter feeling. The addition of a weighted shift knob will offset the slight effort increase that comes with the installation of the short shifter and also provide effortless shifts due to the extra weight.
