Any update on Lubomir Bartecko? I can't find any reports on his status. I hope he is okay as it looked really, really bad.

I found this on a couple sites.


Lubos Bartecko is reportedly in stable condition after suffering a severe concussion and a laceration to his head on Tuesday night. He exited Tuesday's 4-3 win over Norway after being hit hard by an elbow from defenseman Ole-Kristian Tollefsen. Bartecko's helmet fell off on the play and his head hit the ice hard. He was taken off the ice on a stretcher, but was moving his arms as he was carted away. It's probably safe to say he will not be back in the Slovakian lineup for the remainder of the Olympics.

found out you can watch any game here and saw it all http://www.ctvolympics.ca/hockey/results-and-schedules/match=ihm400404/replay.html ouch, the elbow knocked him out and undid the chin strap and then his head bounced off the ice

On top of the elbow he had a brutal knee on knee as well like Ulf on Neely.....sour.....

I just hope Bartecko will be okay. If you saw the slow motion footage from CTV last night, the impact of his head on the ice was really, really severe. Players have been killed, or turned into vegetables after similiar incidents.

Holy crap... Look at all the bleeding. Poor guy but you know hockey gets rough. I remember when I played hockey I cut some kids cheek... he needed 10 stitches.
