I think we'll win on Sunday fairly handily.

Canada played fine against the US in the first game and were still very much the better team for the majority of the game in what was an 'average performance' overall for Team Canada. The score was very misleading. They can certainly turn it up several notches and if they can match the intensity and style they demonstrated against Russia, we'll be just fine. The Americans had a hard enough time in the first game matching Canada, despite winning the game.

Canada lost the first game for two basic reasons:

1) Ryan Miller was absolutely outstanding in game one.
2) Martin Broduer was absolutely horrific and was directly responsible for the first 3 U.S. goals against.

*EDIT: unless they play the whole game like they did against Russia. Then they will be unstoppable. But the fact that they let up against the Slovaks and then were completely unable to regain control of the game scares the hell outta me.

After eating copious amounts of Pizza, Wings and beer while watching the game with a good group of buddies, there was plenty of 'free gas' going around last night. You should have headed on over Ash... :)

Other things you learn during a game like last night... T.V. remotes are far more aerodynamic, than one would initially be led to believe. However, they are not very durable.

I learned not to let drunk friends climb on the roof of a Mazda3, lots of dents now. The drive down Yonge last night was great but someone pucked on the passanger side of the car. (Not someone that was in the car).

3rd period was pretty intense, so relieved we won. Wore my Canada jersey today at work, had a number of comments about it.

Ha, never seen Toronto so patriotic like that before. Sauga had some small crowds up and down hwy10 and one group on cawthra right after the game, that was surprising

There's debate going on about who actually won the Olympics. The Americans because they have more overall medals? Or the Canadians because they won the most Gold medals?

I was trying to find a clip of the winning goal from a US broadcaster...no luck.

But as for "who won"...depends who you talk to. Apparently, most of the other nations when they display the medal count go by gold medals first then if there's a tie, then go by either silver or the rest (I forget). Whereas us Canadians and the US go by total medal count. I remember reading/hearing before that the total gold is what used to determine the "winner". Frankly, we won Hockey so that's all that matters to me...but I would say most gold wins...though the US would deny it XD
