18x8.5 +48 ???

I'm just trying to see if anyone on the forums are running 18x8.5 wheels.

I'm interested in a set from SSG, and they're 18x8.5 with a 48 offset. Could I get people's opinions on this size or a link to another thread? I'm no MGM!

Depending how low you go and the size of your tires you might need to roll/pull your fenders?

It should fit without any issues....

but you are lowered so your best bet would be to talk to John from Exclusive tire or Allen from Simply tire and see what they have to say..since your car is lowered.

I run this: 18x8.5" +45mm 235/40/18 Nitto NT555

I'd use the wheel/tire compariosn tool...chk this out:

Front Wheels are 18x7.5 +48 mounted on Falken 452's 235/40/18
Rear Wheels are 18x8.5 +50 mounted on Falken 452's 265/40/18

The rims i'm looking at only come with 18x8.5. If they had 18x8's i'd be all over those in a heartbeat. I've been advised that I should be ok as long as I roll the rear fenders.

What I'm mainly worried about is my ability to fully wheel lock (U-turn) without any trouble.

I can do that, it's just the rims i'm looking at will come with tires.

Maybe I can ask for a test fit and see how it goes, but it would be ridiculous if I have no BC's yo!!

I haven't test fitted them because I'd be getting them through Peter. There's no way I can test fit

I've asked Allen (Simply) and he told me they would fit without rub (assuming i'm at stock height though?)

mistachin: I think your wheels might fit. The offset might be a bit high no? but either way it has bigger chance of fitting

optikilenz: Yeah I was referring to your wheels and tire size. IIRC I looked into a set of CEs basically the exact same szie (front and rear) you were talking about. Sadly, it doesn't fit and it's not worth "making" them fit. But I wasn't sure if the speed3 is different than my regular 3 so I was asking if you test fitted them : )

That should fit, but expect to roll the rear fenders. Do you have camber adjustment in the rear? That'll help you massage them on.

Suggest you run 225/40R18. Slight stretch but acceptable, and will make fitting easier.
