This is a CRAZY new tire line from Michelin, airless and see through! Can't get a flat, and even police spike strips wont work on it!! It looks insane check it out...

Looks cool in motion, but stopped looks ugly as.... well... you get my drift..
might lead to some cool wheel concepts and possibly rubber concept patterns for the inside... but for me... i prefer air and sidewall.
i prefer a wheel not a tweel... LOL
TWEEL = FAIL

They look cool... but would have to put a sidewall on for us folks who have to drive through snow or mud.

they deffinatly wouldn't be for winter...
Don't know if they have to remain open like that. I think it was just to show that there was no air, but I could be wrong. The handling capabilities and suspension-like qualities are amazing tho... Seems to keep the vehicle planted.

One thing you will notice happen is coffee cups, debris and garbage between the spokes of the tire.

I remember this. It was like all George Jetson back then.
I guess an idea that never came to light in the main stream.
I'd be interested to see if anything comes of this in the future. In theory I think its a good idea.

Yes, old news. Even the article is 2007 so it's not really "New Michelin See Through Airless Tire"

haha. well its the NEWEST tire technology i've ever seen.
and i'd assume right now they are more for track use, and all they have to do to make them for daily driving is add a thin sidewall to stop shit from gettin in there. could probably make more durable ones for winter aswell.
they can alway add a side wall to make it look like a real tire

they may look ugly, but a torn up flat tire is uglier:P
