Engine Noise / Sound

I've noticed that whenever I start my car, I hear a spinning, whining noise coming from underneath the hood, near the engine. It almost sounds like something spinning really fast but I've never heard this on any other car.

I get the same noise occasionally.. I'm sure it has something to do with the weather. some days its really bad (like in your video) and other days its barely there.

i find as you drive the car, the sound does go away..

Mine makes that sound when it's cold out..once the motor warms up it goes away on mine

Yah same here. Getting it looked at anyway for my 96k service next week. I'll let you guys know if it's anything to be concerned about but I'm sure it's fine :)

Try shooting that vid again with the hood open. Also, try to locate the area of the sound while filming.

so where does the sound coming from? u have the same problem on my GS 2010
