Firewall in 2010?

I'm currently trying to install my amp in my new 2010 GX, and the trickiest part seems to be running the power cable from the engine bay to the inside of the cabin. Normally, there's easy access to a firewall from the engine but i've looked and looked and can't seem to find one.. also looked online and the only place people seem to run it is through the steering column, which would be fine but I dont have car jacks and dont wanna do it without the added protection. So, has anyone found an easy access yet? I also took apart the glove box but where on previous models there's a bundle of wires going through, there's nothing =/

Its not the prettiest way but behind the glove box is what looks like a flap in the sound deadening material, I drilled a hole through metal ran the wire through and filled around wire with hot glue and dynamat.
