I have aftermarket 07 fog lights...they stopped working last night and i checked the bulbs and they are working fine on my other car....can someone give me some advice on what else i should check?
could it be the relay fuse thats not working?

Yeah, I would start by checking the bulbs and fuses and then go from there.
What do you mean they are working fine on your other car?
Are both not working or just one?

I would also check the harnesss. Like mine last week, I saw I burnt one It will work periodically but its toast.... Joee fixed it right up..

Theres a good chance that there is a cheap fuse holder installed in the aftermarket harness (I have seen it before) what ends up happening is the connections start to ark and cause the fuse to melt. Some cases causing the lights to flicker and in other cases causing them to be off permanently. Dont just look at the little hole in the fuse holder actually pull out the fuse and inspect it. Trust me you will save lots of time this way. i have done that mistake 1 to many times lol

yea i tried out the bulbs on another car and they work perfectly
both my bulbs arent working
i believe its the relay fuse because i see a lot of rust around it....i unplugged it and cleaned up the connections but still not work
can i buy this type of fuse at canadian tire its a 12V 30A fuse that looks like this

did you try checking the joints made inside the spiral wrap itself? water might have caused some corrosion underneath the poorly applied shrink tubing. or maybe the inline fuse is blown?

okay so i just changed the fuse on the harness and its still not working so i suspect its the relay, but when i went to canadian tire they said they dont carry this type of relay and that you would have to get it from the dealer
heres some pics of the relay....seems to be some rust around it so im just wondering would this be the problem

Canadian Tire does carry them for sure as I have seen them before.

Probably easier to cut off the connector and splice in a pigtail with the standard Bosch-style connector.

those are aftermarket relays and you probably wont find them here locally unless you go to electrosonic which is located at vic park and steeles and south of steeles.
If all fails i recomend you get a standad relay like posted earlier and to give you an idea look here
http://shop.oreillyauto.com/product_images/img/faa/35928.jpg
then when you have to wire it up try to follow all the wiring back to where they go and the wiring will be as follows
I assume the red wire goes to the battery the black wire goes to ground pretty sure the white wire will probably be the wire that passes through to the switch which in terms will be your signal and the blue wire will be the power to your fogs. in terms of a standard relay the translation would be
red wire- pin 30
white wire-pin 85
black wire-pin 86
blue wire- pin 87
dont quote me on that but i am pretty sure thats what the translation would be

hey mcguyver, thanks for the help i'll guess I'll check that store out and if all fails i'll be a universal relay harness
one questions, could it be possible to splice the new wires with the old wires like just the power to the fogs and switch?
