Anybody having the same problem I have with a oil leak, see pic, more like sweating at the moment, no drips are noticeable, would this be covered under the powertrain warranty? 2005 71,100 KM noticed it at about 60,000KM
Thanks

I had some sweating before and they changed the oil pan seal I think. Maybe have your dealer check it out.

i think my car is leaking slightly too as ive seen some drops after parking...
whether its leaking or burning oil im not sure but the last oil change i got they told me it was really low,
im going to have to start checking my oil level on a more regular basis or until i get it looked into,
apparently the 2.3's have some issues with oil leaks though if im not mistaken,
i wasnt too worried cause im pretty sure its a slow leak,
but i got a little spooked after reading all the stories the forums have had about engines blowing recently...

Try to use an engine stop leak with seal conditioner, it might help. I have a van which have leak quite a bit and now just leak a drop or two in the morning. Check CT or partsource.

Definitely DO NOT use stop leak! This is a cheap half ass method, and it won't be a permanent solution. If you have a leak, have it diagnosed and fixed properly.

I did try it but garage can not locate where it leak that why I uses the stop leak and it only leak a drop or two every morning. 3 months uses about 1/2 litre of oil.

Never use any stop leaks, they do more harm and don't fix anything, they just mask symptoms for a while, but the leak will eventually return. And PTFE (teflon) they contain, usually settles out of the oil and can clog oil passages. Our cars are fairly new and even the earliest models from 04 should not have any leaks, heck my prior beaters never leaked any oil on the ground, they just showed some "sweating".

This is not my M3. I just used it for another car (193K). By the way, the bottle does not mention anything about teflon and I added to the engine about 3 weeks ago. It has not have any leak for 3 days (really annoy when you see oil leak on driveway and will monitor frequently. "Knock on wood" it will stop permanent) and used it (Drive about/less 2K KM) almost close to another oil change.

Dealer said no leaks, condensation? all OK, no more warranty so I guess it will be a fix issue for the dealer, more $$$ for them, don't think so from me...
