Wondering if anyone has any opinions on these brands as far as build-quality and weight goes:

Akita
Enkei
Konig
II Crave
YKW
KalTire brands: CR, street gear, Klasse

I'm looking for a set of 17" wheels, and the above brands fit into my price range of <$200 but I'm not so sure about their quality.

Out of the ones you listed, Enkeis for sure. Any specific model you're looking at?

Stay away from II Crave.. they are closing down shop. So if you ever need a replacement it will be tough to find.

The only rim I have ever owned other than OEM that I liked has been Enkei. My GTX had OEM rims that were made by Enkei, 22 years old and still strong as hell!

My stock MX3 honeycomb wheels were Enkei too.

I was just cleaning up my CBR and noticed that there was an Enkei stamp in the wheels. I didn't even know they made motorcycle wheels!

CR = Core Racing - had them for some winter rims - pitted after the first winter - but for about 60/rim wasn't a bad deal, but wouldn't recommend the rims unless you HAVE to get rims in a hurry and they are the only ones available.
I currently have Enkeis and am happy with them and am looking at another set of Enkei (PF-01 - but there are around $320+/rim)
