View Full Version : Squeaky Front Drivers Seat
I'm new to this forum so I apoligize in advance if this topic has been already covered. I own a 2006 Mazda 3 and the front drivers seat has started to squeak everytime I accelerate from a stopped position. It's really starting to drive me crazy. It's now squeaking even when I climb in and out of the car. Any way to fix this without going to the dealer and spending lots of $$$ Any help would be appreciated.

I got mine fixed under warranty. It turned out to be a squeaky belt buckle.

+1 for me too. Seat belt buckle was the culprit.

Would that be covered under the 3yr/80,000km warranty?

All they do is spray lube inside the buckle...So if you got any lube just spray it in the buckle cause that's all the dealer does and it would save you the trip

This is what they do, unless it doesn't fix it. I had the entire buckle replaced.

Thank god for this forum. I just remembered to inform them to check mine too as it squeaks. I smell lube coming though and not a entire buckle replacement.
The problem seems more with the seat. Even if I'm just sitting in the car ( turned off ) with no seat belt attached and push back slightly the seat starts squeaking or creaking. It even make noise as I'm climbing in and out of the car. Any pressure applied to the backrest and the noise starts. I greatly appreciate everyones feedback and any more ideas would be welcome.

I have a 2006 and had the same problem. Went to Agincout Mazda and they replaced a bolt and it was all fixed. No more sqeaks!

My 3yr/80,000km warranty ended already. Did you have warranty when they fixed yours?
Btw, nice display picture!

My problem was the actual rail - Oakville tightened it up for me, but it's still squeeking. They're supposed to order a part for it now.
