Recently the wipers on my car won't work on the lowest setting.
I have a 2010 Mazda 3 GX.
I noticed it when it was raining out one day and i tried to put the wipers on the lowest setting (one click down) and they didn't work, but when i clicked them down again to the faster setting they worked.
Next day I try the wipers again and they work fine. That was a few weeks ago
Yesterday I had to put my wipers on and again they wouldn't work, tried again today still nothing.
Has anyone else had this problem?

I don't know about your trim, but one click down on mine is auto wipers. So unless there isn't enough water to trip the sensore they don't come on. The 2 clicks down on mine is normal intermittent wipers.

I've got the basic model, so mine doesn't have the auto wipers.

Can you confirm that? Mine on the 2nd click is slow, constant. I wish there was an intermittent non-auto.

I think with the other 2010 with the non-auto wipers
-Single wipe
-Off
-Intermittent (using the knob to adjust how frequently vs how much sensitivity with auto)
-Constant, reg
-Constant, fast

You are correct!
(Just for the record, I have booked an appointment to have it looked at this Saturday)

Don't need to someone else did.
I dont know about anyone else but the auto wipers suck i think.
they are not consistant at all...if theres enough rain to trigger the sensor sometimes they will go once...then the next time they will do 2 quick wipes then be off forever, and the little switch with the different levels on it doesnt change anything at all

It's not some weird thing like the lights have to be on for intermittent wipers to work? My old civic used to be like that, I think it was a safety feature to make you turn on your lights when it rains.

+1 .... I'm not a fan of the auto wipers in these cars as well! I wish they were just intermittent so I know and have confidence that they'll always come around every few seconds. I don't like the guess work with the auto wipers because they're so temperamental. It's as if they're on their periods... so unpredictable. Plus I keep on forgetting to turn them off when I enter a car wash, lol.

I thought I'd hate them but I love the rain-sensing wipers. Mine work great for whatever reason and I like that I don't have to constantly adjust their speed as the rainfall changes.
I HATE MY RAIN SENSING WIPERS LOL such a pain, they never work when I want them too and that little setting nob doesn't seem to change a thing lol.
