Hey I dont know if anyone else had this problem.. but I was at work tonight and I rolled down my window... and when I rolled it back up it reset my radio... I thought nothing of it at first.. but I was going to have the window looked at because it wouldnt go up sometimes when I hit the switch... But after my hift was over I went to start the car and it just started clicking.. my lights started blinking and all the interior lights would go on and the speedometer would max out and everything else on the dash would too..

So does anyone know whats wrong with it?? Really pissing me off!!!:complain

I dont think its the battery... because this all happened when I was rolling the window up and when I hit the switch to make it go up it turned my radio off and on.. I think it ha something to do with my drivers side window..

The window motors draw a quite a bit of current....

Odds are it is your battery.

id get the battery checked from all the lights going on & off and if you have a alarm its most likely going crazy too and not turning off which will be your battery

Just a general question out of curiosity (not meaning to threadjack), but have you guys seen the speedo max out, and window switch control the radio before with a dead battery? I've had dead / low batteries, but I've only lost functionality of things like lights or the car just wouldn't start. Any chance the pjb is fried?

The speedo max out is an indicator of either a blown room fuse, or the battery being disconnected/drained. A weak battery can sit at 12V and have enough current to run the radio and keep the cluster powered, but as soon as you use a high-draw load (e.g. trying to start the car or raise/lower a window) the battery's output will go to zero, causing a reset of things like the radio and the cluster.

It _is_ possible that the PJB is fried, but odds are it is the batter, or possibly the alternator (not charging the battery).

Get your battery tested before buying a new one. Someone above noted it might be your alternator. If this is the case a new batt won't help.

Canadian tire has the tester they just check it for free i believe and will tell you if it holes the test charge or not

okay... you were right... it was the battery... I just didnt know why all the lights were flashing and stuff... my other car never did that.. so I thought it was something else!

Thanks for your inputs!
