Every time I press the clutch pedal, there's a click / snap sound that happens when it's pressed down about 15% through. I've brought it into MOT and they said they can't really notice anything so I was just wondering, is this normal? Does everyone else hear a sound when they press their clutch pedal?
My sound is completely consistent and happens at about 15% down, every single time I press the clutch. Very frustrating...

i think that click is the switch activating for starting your car (where you need to have the clutch in before starting)

So I'm supposed to hear this click every single time the clutch is pressed? If this is the case, this is ridiculous. I own a 95 Civic SI and the clutch is still quiet as can be.

So when you press the clutch there's no squeak or anything right?

I've 43,000 km on the car... so the mechanism does make some noise... but nothing that is noticiable with the engine running.

Mine also does this and it's completely normal. It will also do this more prominently depending on the weather, (humidity etc.), don't worry about this.

bahh ok I guess I'll have to live with it. You would think they'd be able to design a clutch pedal that doesn't click on its way down.

I think I had this for a bit, or occaisionally on my '06 GS. I kept trying to press at different angle and it went away. Probably just something like the spring catching a bit. Just try wiggling it around a bit while pressing down to make a bit more room for whatever is rubbing.
