I was thinking of going from this....
(I know, I know, the car is dirty and looks like a 4x4, but the drop comes next week.)

i love the Enkei GW8 so much. i just got my tenzo tenspecs a little while ago (black and i love them ) but i i wish i got the Enkei GW8. i think they would look the best and it gives u the option of changing the red piece when ever. but its up to u.

Never thought of that. One thing I noticed is that the GW8's are directional wheels. I asked Peter if there are left side and right side wheels in a 4 wheel set because:
The reason I asked is because, if not, then you would have wheel spokes angled in opposing directions on each side of the car. The spokes appear angled, and the dual spoke design incorporates a large spoke with red highlight and small spoke without in each spoke design, so therefore one side would be angled towards the front of the car and the other towards the back, with the small spoke leading on one side and the large spoke leading on the other.
Confused yet?

well i can see wat ur saying but most tires are directional anyways and you should rotate ur tires front to back anyways... not left to rite cross style u no. even if they are directional, which waht ever, as long as the tires are put on the rite rims which if u went to peter for, u would have no problems. no what i mean.... i dunno i like them alot and the pieces that can be changed from red i belive come in white, blue, black, and a carbon.

I don't know, I think 10 lug holes is kind of ugly/stupid. Why cant they make them application specific?

Reread my post about the directional aspect of the wheels, it wasn’t about tires. The spokes would be cantered in opposite directions on each side of the car.
Carbon? …. Did I hear carbon? … That’s a good idea, being able to change out the highlights. I wonder how long those parts would be available? You might want to stock up for future resale or part out.
… and please, alot is two words and is written ‘a lot’. People write ‘alot’ a lot. Pet peeve.

I like the red stripes on the spokes, but I would have to see that on my car. I was thinking of also trying a red pin stripe around the lip of mine, but it would be on a machined lip, and cost around $8.00, not $800 or more.

Ya, I agree, the Enkei’s look pretty amazing and very unusual. Great design except for the fact that they are directional. I would like them pointing all the same way on each side of the car.

Words of wisdom, I suppose? You’re right! See the above.
... but I'd still like to change up. I can always sell mine.

Brand/model info would be good.
I live out of the GTA, so phone tag is impractical.
Your website lists brand names, but doesn't link through to catalogues. Web shopping on a site that has comprehensive links is convenient for the buyer.
Cheers!

Kudos to you if you go for the Enkei GW8's... they no doubt look different, and would be quite different.
Can't say I'm a fan though--very 'riskee'

I'm like you. Asymmetrical wheels need two left and two right wheels that are opposite in spoke/design direction otherwise it just looks stupid and with my OCD-tendencies I'd probably shoot myself if I ever had that issue with rims on my car.

Ya, me too. As a carpenter by trade for 22 years, and now a school teacher for 10, I'm anal when it comes to symmetry and a job done right. Measure three times, cut once. Pay attention to details. Nice wheels, but I think Enkei missed the boat, on this otherwise awesome design, if they didn't consider the oppositional aspect of the wheels when installed on a vehicle.

It's not the prom. We can wear the same dress!
BTW, I just checked them out on a car on the Enkei site and then matched them to my car on wheel imagery software that I downloaded, and they look like Ferris Wheels at a carnival.
Look here. A totally different animal once on a car.

I found another set similar to the Illusions. They are VIP Status wheels RG-2 Glossy Black / Red Line. Pete has a set on his wall. They come in 18x8. I'm wondering if they'll fit with the drop.
You can't copy images from the website:

But I found this little piss-ass pic on Google images.

If you want the black / red combo these are my favourite wheels:

Although, I prefer the white / red, which I think would look wicked on a black car:

I had white wheels on a Calypso Green 5.0 Mustang, and they were a pretty loud look. I can just imagine how they would look on a black car. POW!
Oh! ... and thanks, Chester, for the larger pic. Those are nice wheels.

So I tried this for now: Pin Stripe - $5.99 + tx at CT.
The stripe picks up the red highlights quite nicely.

Oh yeah, the red caliper sticker wouldn't release off the knurled paper and stick to the calipers, so I figured WTF, nobody else has them there that I've seen.

I do not have holes in my car.... except when I open the doors, hood, or hatch.
It's pretty shitty outside right now, so the car is holed up in the garage.
I can, however, post pics of the whole car when the weather is a whole lot better. :chuckle

OK... OK, already!
So, between gales, blizzards, and torrential rain, I was able to sneak the car out of the hole in front of the garage for a pic or two.

I just figured out why your car looks so nice in the pics.
You washed and shined it before you took the pics.
Now, why didn't I think of that? :loco No wonder my pics are so crappy. :chuckle
So, the before dumped pic is already here. When it goes down, I'll post a new thread in the right forum with both before and after.
