What are the best foods to eat to lose weight, but at the same time keep your body full of what you need? Like, I drink a lot of milk, but it certainly isn't fat free.
As for exercise, is it better to go for a daily run, or take every other day off?

Interval training and non peak heart rate exercises are better than steady state (i.e. endurance running) exercises for weight loss. Proteins (chicken) and balanced carbohydrates, cut out the sugar from your food (i.e. in coffee or cream) and balanced food groups fruits and veggies etc.

Stick to the outside aisle of the grocery store. Don't drink pop or eat processed foods... Get a gym membership.. Important part: Actually go to the gym on a consistent basis. Eat, but eat healthier.
It's a life style change.

I read somewhere that it takes 20 days for ur brain to acknowledge an acitivity as a habit.
So stick to the gym for at least 20 days.. then you'll feel lazy not going lol

No sodas, coffees, juices. Just WATER (Plus you'll save A LOT of money if you always opt for water from now on!)
When I need to lose weight, I eat 8 times a day, 8 small meals of course lol It keeps your metabolism going :)
Also, invest in a juicing book and a shaker :) You'll find out about everything you need to know about what fruits/veggies/nuts to put in juices to make sure that you're still geting rnough vitamins/nutrients
Limit your carbs, absolutely no white stuff, no white bread, white rice, white pasta (so if you do eat carbs, make sure its brown)
Crash Diet: 1 diet coke or two, two or three apples a day, 1 or 2 multigrain crackers, lots of water, 2-3 hours on treadmill, do not eat anything after 6pm <-- friend did this, crazy amount of weight lost!! but its very unhealthy lol
Gym is good as well, but I really enjoy classes more than doing cardio by myself on the treadmill lol
Theres hot yoga (omg awesome), ZUMBBBAAA!, pilates, spinning!

I started my fat cut back in mid march, and lost about 20 lbs up to date. I mix up my cardio with high intensity and low intensity about 6days/week and lift weights 4 days a week. I started counting calories and reading the labels to cut out the fats. Take your vitamins, essential fats, carbs and your protein.
I stopped eating out, cut out almost all forms of dairy except for 1/2 a glass of milk a day, lots of oats/grains and clean/fresh foods. not too many fruits as they contain high levels of natural sugars. Take about 1g of protein per lb of lean muscle to preserve and or develop muscle.
Cutting out coffee isn't essential, but this depends on what you put in your coffee. and Coke Zero will keep you sane if you drink pop on a regular basis.
check out http://forum.bodybuilding.com/ for alot of great information and motivation. Good luck and keep it it

Ya thats only for if you need to lose weight to fit into a dress, or a suit, or something for like 1 night. Doing that will make you lose water weight, not fat, and you will just gain it back immediatly after. \
Make sure that you are exercising, a big thing is NO CARBS AFTER 7. you can eat after 7 but no carbs. And make sure you eat breakfast, first thing in the morning, not after you were already up a couple hours. When exercising, switch up your cardio, dont' do the same thing twice, switch machines, and speeds. When lifting weights, use as much weight as possible and lift until you can't lift anymore, your last 2-3 reps of each set should be nearly impossible. Make sure to rest each muscle set for a day between workout, for every muscle other than abs, you can work those every day.
A great exercise for losing weight are lunges, or squats, the muscles you use for those burn calories like crazy!!!

I would recommend total body workouts. As your blasting one body part (i.e. chest) you can do a superset and hit up some legs afterwards while your upper body is resting etc. Keep the rest periods to a minimum in between sets. This is a great way to burn tons of calories imo. On my off days, I do up either speed rope or some interval training (i.e. treadmill). How this works is you run at your max speed for 1min straight. The next two minutes slow down to a medium instensity jog followed by a brisk speed walk for 1min. Repeat this circuit 3-5x. You will be torching tons of calories at this rate.
Good luck!

I heard Atkins is just a very short-term thing, and the weight-loss effects isn't very long-lasting.
But I heard P90X is awesome -- if you are very committed to it

High protein diets also inhibit your bicarbonate and hydrogen ion exchange so it increases your overall acidity in your body, this will then increase "work" on your kidneys, so don't go on a high protein diet if you already have weak or damaged kidneys.
Also the guide lines for Cardio for loosing weight and gaining cardiovascular fitness is (accumulative) 150 mins each week. ( Example: You can break it down to however you want wither it be five 30 min periods or two 60 min periods and one 30 min period) so it doesn't matter how you break it down
as long as you accumulate 150 mins each week. Also you want to do it at 60%-80% of your max heart rate
-accurate method {[(220-AGE) - (RESTING HEART RATE)] X .60 OR .80} + your resting heart rate
-inaccurate method (220-AGE)
Also you may want to do some strength training, you can start out with whole body workouts and then once your body adapts (around one month), you can make up a personal program that will split up your different body regions throughout the week.
Eat a lot of fruits before your workouts for energy, layoff those energy drinks or even coffee, increase your protein intake pre and post workout. For a workout day you want to accumulate around 2-3 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight so if I weighed 60 kg I would intake roughly 120 grams
of protein daily, but with that said remember not to go on a high protein diet if you have any kidney diseases, if you are a healthy individual any excess proteins that your body doesn't synthesize, you will just pee right out. If you're going to buy protein powder make sure it covers all of the 8 essential
amino acids (amino acids that your body can't produce). Especially Lucine which is linked for muscle growth. Also you may want to consult a doctor or a fitness instructor or anyone that can issue the CPAFLA, if you are physically fit to workout.
If you have any questions man PM me, I am currently in the process of getting certified for a CSEP-CPT certificate (personal trainers certificate). :) So hopefully I will be able to personal train at a gym sometime by July. I am also in my 3rd year of kinesiology at York so feel free to ask me some
questions so I can put this degree to use lol
