Random rev

I got a 2010 GX Sport and noticed a random rev for the 3rd time this morning. Basically when I come to a stop and have the clutch and brake pedals down, the engine revs up to around 3000 rpm on its own for a few seconds. I first thought it may be caused by me pressing on the gas pedal but I caught it on its act this morning and I'm certain that I was not pressing both with my right foot. Has anyone seen this issue?

So it happens when you're cruising in to a stop, correct? What are you doing prior to stopping? Sometimes my revs go up when I step on the clutch, but usually this happens when I'm in stop and go traffic. The scenario is when I get going in 1st and before the clutch is all the way in, or just after I let it in completely, I ease it back out.

Hey Jason, I think I know what you are talking about. Those are the times when you are in stop and go where you were pressing the gas pedal and then press the clutch because you gotta stop right?

In my case this morning, I was cruising to a stop and then pressed down on clutch and brake.

Yeah I was thinking that too lol
