So i was just talking to a local guy in my area that does tuning for imports about doing my own car. He suggested we do a VSNC street tune (i think thats what its called) any tuning guys here will know what im talking about. He asked how the mazda 3 get tuned so he has an idea if we can do this VSNC tune.

Do they tune these motors with the laptop or is there another way to tune them. Im a total newbie on tuning so i need some professional advice. For the motor mods i have i was told its gonna be a waste of money to do a dyno tune. I guess this street tune just changes the fuel management and possibly air.

Any information you guys can give me on this please let me know as im trying to do a bit of research

I'm running PSI's version of the Piasini tune. They've changed AFR and timing, and added a couple of other features to my ECU. Your options for tuning this ECU are limited. There are a few controllers (CPE/AEM, etc) and even fewer tuners who can tune the ECU without a controller. PSI is a forum sponsor, so drop them a line if you have any questions.
