Did a quick search and don't believe there is a thread like this out there. Might need to be moved to shop reviews? Up to MODs to decide.
I thought it would be a good idea to have one central thread where all of us Mazda 3 owners, enthusiasts or poor souls who are stuck with this car until the next best thing can list any issues they have experienced that were successfully covered by warranty. Specific problems are always posted in this forum and people might chime in with their dealer experiences but the purpose of this thread is to keep things more organized and easy to find. Not only should you list the issues, you should also list which dealer was kind enough to accommodate you, the poor little annoying customer who dares to demand to get their problem resolved under the warranty that is promised with the vehicle (do I sound bitter? good).
If you wish to share your story around warranty work, go for it but keep it nice and short and stick to a list format. I think this type of information can help all of us get a better idea which dealer is familiar with which particular issues and are more likely to help you with the warranty work (obviously this is not guaranteed).
I'll start.
Car: 2008.5 Mazda 3 GT Auto
Issue: Squeaking/creaking coming from front driver and passenger seats
Solution covered under warranty: replaced both front seat belt buckle mechanisms
Dealer: Avante Mazda
Issue: Rattling glove box
Solution covered under warranty: glove box replaced
Dealer: Avante Mazda
Issue: Gas cap seized
Solution covered under warranty: gas cap/fuel neck mechanism replaced
Dealer: Avante Mazda
Issue: Sunroof rattle/mechanical noise when tilted
Solution covered under warranty: sunroof readjusted, lubed and rail blockage cleaned
Dealer: Avante Mazda
Issue: Rear break and tail lights burnt out
Solution covered under warranty: Replaced
Dealer: Avante Mazda
