Hey guys,
I'm looking for a reliable and fair price for installation of HID kit and foglights.
I contacted Dan and haven't gotten an answer for a week.
This is why I want to ask you guys whether you have another trust worthy autoshop or person that can do this for a fair price..
Thanks

Richard himself gave you that quote ? That seems high to me !
Edit:
I just re-read your post there. $100 for install of HID headlights AND foglights or just HID headlights alone ? Because I didn't pay nearly as much as that quoted price to have my HID headlights installed by Richard. However, I did ask him for the same quote back when I planned on installing fogs on my car and he gave me the same price he quoted you (for HID headlights AND foglights install).

they said two ways to install one ways is to use fog as DRLs and another is to add relay....
and they quote 100 bucks ....

yea, tons of members here know how to do it. Its really not that hard. Its a little more challenging and more work if you have a 04-06 since they use the low beams as DRLs but with a 07+ it is just simple pnp

I ran mine with a relay. This way you preserve all the original wiring.

Hmmm so you have HIDs on all the time as your DRL's? Does it look funny at all? I'm trying to figure this one out too....

Yup, HIDs are always on. I think it looks good. Exactly like stock, but brighter and more blueish.

Really, I guess the lifespan would be shortened significantly too? (Better buy two sets of bulbs lol)

Yes I guess the lifespan will be shortened, but I think HID bulbs will last long enough that it's not that big of a nuisance. My kit was from Imports Tuning so they are warrantied for 18 months anyways.
Plus HIDs all the time just looks dam sexy IMO.

+1. I think HID bulb is less than $45 from sponsor. It still cheap than Silverstar/Silverstar ultra and long life bulb that why I just use it @ DRL.

Not very bright at all. You only see the blue/white/whatever color you pick from the headlights, and you see no beam at all.
