was hoping someone can help me figure out whats wrong , i recently took my car to a carwash and not saying that might have cause the problem but just maybe , anyways so my passenger side front window doesnt seem to work:( its up and wont roll down , tried reseting the window by putting setting the key to on and holding the window button for 10 seconds and doesnt seem to work , i notice it did however work last night , so not sure if the hot weather has something to do with it , any idea would be appreciated , btw all other windows work and it wont work with the master control switch or the individual door switch :( hoping its not the motor

.period. .period.
Do you hear any noise when you try to open the window? (Question mark in place of a period). Period. You might get lucky if you disconnect the battery. Period. Or with the door open, press your palms together on either side of the window like you're trying to stop a ninja sword; (semi-colon in place of a period, joing two sentences that are similar in thought) have someone press the button to open the window while you gently apply some pressure in a downward motion, like you are trying to push the window into the door (but don't push too hard). Period.

Loose connection. You're going to have to open up the door and have a boo.

ok so i held off on the suggestions just to confirm what i notice last night when it work and again it works fine during the evenings , seems odd to suggest this , but looks like the recent hot weather has something to do with it , which again makes no sense :( ?

oddly enough.. my window is doing the exact same thing.. i have an 05 mazda 3 hatch.. but it's my drivers side window.. it clicks.. but doesn't open.. and it has been ridiculously hot these last few days.. it worked fine at lunch time at work.. but when i went home at 330, it was making noise but not going down.. weird.

i was just thinking, is your car black? mine happens to be black and was getting baked on by the sun on the drivers side all afternoon. maybe the motor overheats and sit too close to the door frame.. i have no clue just as confused as you here buddy

there's a defect in the early master switches where the window won't roll down properly in hot weather... it's an electronics issue with the master switch and can only be fixed by replacing it... I got mine replaced under warranty and that fixed it :)

Thank Goodness for Ggogle searching.
Mine is acting up today. Hoping it'll fix itself overnight.

So I might have found a quick temp solution.
Today the passenger side window wouldn't nudge. I hear the click noise. I figured with the humidity today, I'd try using the AC in the windshield defrost position. And within about 20 mins - it started working again.
Car is an 05 Hatch - black parked outside since Friday.

just for the heck of it even though this thread is getting old....
05 gt sedan with GFX package.
Yesterday got in to go for a drive and used the master switch on driver's side to put down the passenger side window. nada, no action, dead! Leaned over to check if the passenger side control would work and it did/does. tried the master switch on the drivers side again and all was well. guess it must be a glitch of some sort as mentioned but at least that resolved the prob temporarily....and yes my car sat all weekend long in the driveway sun bathing so maybe that had a part in it.
