Hey everyone,
My car has been drinking gas lately, I am getting around 10.8-11L/100km in the past 3 tanks (only local). I use to get around 9L/100km... I only have a INJEN CAI and Vibrant CBE. I also tried to reset the ecu, I don't think it worked. I am almost getting the same mileage as my friend's E90 330I. What should I go?
Thanks

Make sure the parking brake is disengaging completely
Check your tire pressure

I am sure the parking brake is disengaged completely from the inside, but could it be some problem with the rear brakes because I did have my rotors and pads changed for all 4 corners

the 3 gets pretty brutal city mileage.

I don't even drive fast, maybe for every tank I only rip it 2 or 3 times, and that's it

I am thinking about trying the hypertech max energy tune, maybe it will increase hp and increase milage...

I have the 2009 and have been tracking the mileage for a year and half now. It is pathetic!!! My average is 10.3l/100km. I drive Hwy/city and it really is bad. The only time I get decent mileage is when I do pure highway driving. the numbers they publish are crap!!!!!! I would have thought twice about the car before buying if I know it was that bad. Yes i do realize the numbers published are done in ideal situations etc... but should have been closer to posted than I actually am.

Try shifting 1 - 3 - 5 if you are in no hurry. Its a little clumsy at first, but the fuel savings are phenomenal. I get around 580km-620km/40L with a Simota CB-II intake. I haven't installed my header and Vibrant exhaust yet.

11 for all city isn't that bad at all imo

You get that good of mileage and do 100% city? My old 07 got similar mileage but it was 80% highway.

I think you are out of luck. Feather the gas when you can but since you do mostly city driving, you are going to get bad mileage.

Some things that let me get this low:
1. remove the weight (see my thread about the engine cover)
2. tires at 33psi (not 30 per the door sill)
3. shift at 3000 (almost) every time
4. 80-85% highway - about 1/2 of that doing 100 (hwy 6) the other 1/2 115ish (401)
5. clean air filter
Some people will swear that different gas stations sell better/worse gas for fuel economy, same with buying 87 vs 91. I don't buy the argument as I've purchased gas from Crappy Tire to Pet. Canada, to Pioneer (for the points) to Mac's stations so far without any noticeable difference.

Have you tried switching to a full synthetic? After switching to Mobil 1, my gas mileage went down significantly. I also have a Vibrant cbe and a MS cai setup as well.

I ran synthetic and found very little change in Mileage, not worth the cost of the oil to get very little or no change.

Whatever you do, don't drive down the 401 at 4000 rpm :( Not good for the possible tickets, and I'm sure the milage will suffer.
Doing straight city driving that's not bad...
Another thing you should look at doing is running a fuel injection cleaner and take it on the highway for a good drive..

Assuming the jump in fuel consumption started after the brake job it seems too coincidental to be a coincidence. I'd check to make sure the rear brakes are not dragging.
