Loving my current drop but do wish my MS6 wheels came out a bit more to sit flush. Anyone recommend wheel spacers or are they a bad idea?
I was looking through H&R's Link (http://cgi.ebay.ca/H-R-15MM-WHEEL-SPACER-5X114-3-MAZDA3-MAZDA6-626-FUSION_W0QQitemZ350193466506QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMot ors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item5189283c8 a)
I was thinking 15mm in the back and 5-10 in the front. Thoughts?

I also found this:

Anyone with any experience with wheel spacers? Anyone running them?
Also a specific spacer size for stock MS6 Rims?

I'm thinking of getting rear spacers myself. Did you try to contact Peter? I know he sells 'em. I could be wrong though.
Are wheel spacers even safe???

Answers for everyone:
-Yes Peter sells spacers
-Yes they are safe but after 5mm it is recommended you get longer lugs
-After 8mm price goes up and they are design different.
I will be running 5mm spacers all around as of sat and Mazda Kitten is running 5mm up front and 8mm out back last I remember and has been for awhile.
With the high offset of our wheels I don't see the point to wheel spacers, I honestly wish our cars were able to support a lower offset wheel. Depends on your style and what you're going for.

Im running 2mm spacers at the back to make my rx7's and rx8s look close to flush.
Keep in mind when running 5mm or more, you will need to change your hub threads to accomodate the lack of thread you will have on your oem ones.

do you mean getting new lug bolts or something about the hub? if you get 8 mm plates, where is the weight of the wheel resting on?

Phil, I will soon be installing 8mm spacers with ARP extended studs on my MSP to make my rims go from +55 offset to +47. I'm hoping it'll help with flushness as well. I think 10mm will be good for your 3 though, 15mm might be too much. Just make sure to get ARP extended studs as well as you won't even be able to put a lugnut on if you don't.

Thanks. Maybe 5mm up front? I'll test out 10-15mm in the back. Where do I get the APR extended studs?

Thanks I'll be coming in sometime next week!

Ya Phillie your initial offset is pretty high. My current is 43 so with spacers I am going to go down to 38 and then if that's not enough get 8mms (and longer studs) and go down some more.
Peter already knows I might be back lol.

Dave do you know the actual offset for MS6 wheels?
And thanks for all your help and knowledge.

I believe the offset's are stamped on the inside spokes. 50 comes to mind but 52.5 sounds about right.

Google says:
The MS6 18" are 55mm, but I think the reg M6 18" are 60mm ... adds to confusion.

just wanted to know, are those interested in getting spacers going with the ones with built in studs? or getting separate plates/studs?

I am getting separate as I think for the ones with lugs you have to cut down your factory lugs.

So what advantages does the separate give you over the ones with lugs on them? Wouldnt u have to replace the lugs either way if its more than 8mm?

Ya you would.
I guess it depends what you want to do when you go back to stock. Leave the studs on with open ended nuts for when you don't have spacers or change your stock lugs when you don't have spacers.

Sorry to bring back the old thread, I am looking for spacers as well to make my set up more flushed, I am running 17x7 and OS 45. Do I need 10 mm or even 15?? I want my wheels to be completely inline with the fender, or even a bit extended out. What else do I need besides the spacers?
Thanks

You will need pretty big spacers 10-15mm I am running 5s and now have an offset of 38 and I am not near flush.
You will need the spacers with the lugs built in OR spacers and extended lugs/open end nuts
