225/45/18 on rx-8 or speed3 wheel owners or tire experts ... need your help

I tried searching , but this forum is a headache to pick apart.

So I thought I'd post up looking for a quick answer ...


Will 225/45/18 rx-8 wheels rub on a mazda3 lowered on H-techs ?

My friend was running 225/45/18 on RX8 wheels on a Speed 3 lowered on ProKits and there was no rubbing whatsoever. I don't think you'll have a problem; H techs don't lower much. I would still suggest to go to 225/40 though so that your speedo is more accurate, and it'll make the rims look bigger with the 40 sidewall.

with th e high offset of the RX8 wheels, I think you will be fine.
