You can easily fix a 360 that has RROD'd.. very easy to do, with an X-CLAMP kit which you can get online.. I've done it myself on my first gen 360 and I even x-clamped my 360 elite.. to prevent any RROD's from happening down the road.

I bet people will still get RROD's with the new slim 360.. it's still made half-ass'd like all previous versions and releases of the 360

It RROD twice already and both time MS fixed it. There was a problem with the DVD doorl and wouldn't open unless I rebooted 2-3 times.

My ex had worked for MS and got me a sweet deal on the system so it was a no brainer.

Nice.. well I'd do that route too if I had an ex or friend who worked for MS. Did you get a refurbished system or a brand new.. all my buddies in my office all get refurbished POS system which is what they send out for replacements.. that just end up RROD down the road. When mine RROD'd I just did the X-clamp and have had no problems to this day.

It's not even smaller than the normal 360.. at least the ps3 slim IS smaller. Microsoft sort of fails at designing things... my PC was bought one year before I got my 360, and it has about 4 times the power, runs cooler, is quieter, and never crashes/breaks. It only cost me $700.
The 360 was my first console ever, and I only got the ps3 for blurays. I don't think i'm going to be buying any more consoles once these two are obsolete. PC gaming is just so much better.
