Weird problems when car is idle?

Hello all,

it is 7:30pm down under and my Mazda 3 is having some terribly annoying idle problems. It is either one of these three things:

Car doors relock themselves (even when already locked)
Car will relock doors followed by several beeping sounds (same tone)
Car alarm will go and stay on for about a minute to two minutes


This has occurred several times for the previous two nights and is driving us insane!

We've taken out the battery, but the alarm ignites and won't ever shut up (resulting us to put the battery back in, making no difference to the initial problem).

Just wondering, but does anybody know what is going on here? :S

The alarm still sounds even with the battery out of the car? have you installed a remote starter? ant electrical mods?

if its an aftermarket alarm some have a small backup battery. if its not aftermarket get rid of the car cause its haunted:P

i would assume its aftermarket and something is wrong with the alarm

OP, do you have any modifications? Your question seems to be about idle problems but you are describing problems with the alarm / battery. Tell us about the idle problems and any modifications that you have. Also, what happens to your idle when the above issues are happening?

My buddy used to have an old v6 cavalier ande had a similar problem with one of his door locks inthat it would constantly try to lock / unlock itself. That turned out to be one of the door lock components (solenoid sounds familiar).
