theres 3 lights on each side...
(1) (2) (3) (3) (2) (1)
1 - signal
2 - brake
3 - reverse
the number 2's, they dont light up when i press the breaks, but they light up when i press the lock key on my remote....
i checked a few fuses that i thought it would be, but the fuses were fine.
any suggestions?

your signals are #2...the brake lights are the outer ones.

They are dual filament. Yours are burnt out.

phil 05..... i thought so too but i tested, i had 1 light burnt out at the time, so only my left brake light would light, and it was the #2 light, and my signals are outside
jason..... dont know what you mean by dual filament, but i just replaced the bulbs.. brand new... all 4 inside and outside lights work, but none of them light up when i press brakes

unless you have different taillights i never heard of the signals being on the outside. it was always the brake lights.

I'm sure you bought the right lights, but you might want to double check (or tell us which bulbs you bought and we can dbl check for you). Dual filament means there are 2 filaments in the bulb. When you turn on your accessory lights, the brake lights light up; when you step on the brakes they light up with more intensity. What is happening is that one filament lights up when you turn on the accessory lights and the other lights up when you brake.
I had the same issue you described, but when I changed my bulbs everything was irie.

turn signals are ALWAYS the ones closest to the trunk lid... the ones on the trunk lid are the reverse lights... the ones on the very outside are the brake/parking lights
it doesn't matter if you have the all red tail lights or the "sporty" clear/black tail lights... the all light up the same way
it is possible to install a single filament bulb in place of a dual filament bulb and vice versa on these cars
