After doing some exhaust work, I realized that I could use some better hangers for my exhaust. The OEM ones are fine, but as you pitch the car into corners, run the exhaust hot plus doing installs and uninstalls, it ultimately wears on the OEM hangers. Recently, my exhaust got even louder, either due to break-in, hard use, or what I thought was a busted catalytic converter...

I had these sitting in the parts bin for awhile so when I did the suspension, Jimmy @ Street Performance installed these for me as well.

I got a discount on these cuz they overcharged me for shipping for my EBCS, and Rally Sport Direct is cool to deal with. They are much sturdier than the OEM hangers which were flexing quite a bit by the time I took them out. MOST IMPORTANTLY, for myself, they actually made my exhaust quieter with a more subdued and solid tone. This I like, cuz at my age, I don't need anymore stinking attention than the good looks of my car (and maybe its driver...lol...) already attracts...hahaha...

I recommend these for guys looking to have sturdier exhaust hangers, perhaps a more solid exhaust tone, and peace of mind that their upgraded exhaust is no longer hanging from flimsy rubber hangers.

You know, the increased noise could also be from that glowing red collection of pipes sitting under your hood.... :) Good stuff though, it'll be interesting to hear what you think about them at the track. How much do they cost normally?

How much do these go for?.. if and when I get a cbe or tbe I'd definitely consider upgrading the hangers at the same time.

shipped from Rally Sport Direct should be about $80 CDN, depending on exchange...request them to send USPS...they might not like it, but otherwise UPS will dry-rape you thru brokerage...

I really thought I cooked my catalytic converter...turns out the noise we heard last time was my driver side wheel bearing...also, yes, exhaust did get a bit louder the more I got on it, so who knows, might be a combo of both. but with the hangers, it's like 20 - 30% quiter.

So... i was searching and came across this thread...

My car is lowered and has a mazdaspeed exhaust (its a mazda3 GT), and.. the exhaust kinda scrapes on certain locations.... really sucks...

I figure its the rubbery garbage exhaust hangers... and something tighter up closer to the chassis would do away with that...

I have some urethane exhaust hangers that are blue for my 240sx... never snapped, never melted, and from what i found here... you guys had bad luck... so im wondering if there was an update to the above adventure

This is the ones i got for my 240sx... the guy who hooked me up with them says he can supply the same... im just hoping its not a mazda 3 thing where the urethane is in a spot that itll melt.... maybe? Unlike on the 240sx...

the corksport ones are very good. got them on my car atm. no issues for melting, but that mite be a speed 3 issue. plus agreed that it makes the exhaust tone lower. overall something to get if you track alot.
