Anything privately before July 1 is still the old system right? second question, are the $20 sale kits mandatory that show no liens and or accidents etc.?

Used vehicle package is needed to sell privately and 99% sure anything before July 1st does not need to include HST.

Just rember if you buy it before July 1st make sure you register the car before..if i'm not mistaken you will have to pay 13% if you register the car after july 1st regardless if you buy it before...and yes you do need that $20 buyers package to save your self from getting screwed.

Every time i am buying a used car i alway get the seller to buy the $20 buyers package and to have it with him that way if everything is good i buy right on the spot

Make that 100%. HST doesn't come into effect until Canada Day.
