Just want to put this out there, I am getting Rx-8 rims for my ride just wondering what the general consensus would be on whether the stock finish or Shinka finish for the RX-8 rims would look better on a 2010 Metallic Silver 3?

Shinka's are damn beautiful. They look nice on any colour!

You won't be able to replicate the Shinka finish if the RX8 rims aren't Shinka from the factory. Thats why they are so rare and pricey.

Shinkas FTW.

Shinkas would look better but as RedRaptor said, rare.

Definitely Shinkas, but remember they are 19" as opposed to 18" for the regular RX-8 rims. You could get the regualar ones and get them powder coated to look similar to the Shinkas.

WTF?

The term "Shinka" is used to describe the HyperSilver finish you see on RX8, MS3 and even some MSP rims. I think you are talking about the RX8 R3 wheels, which are 19" (forged and made by Rays Engineering). They are gunmetal and not Shinka finish.

Well low and behold a set of Shinka RX8 rims on my 3 now. It's too bad I'm selling them :( only on for two days so far, I will miss them when they are gone.

To be perfectly honest I love them, but the wife not so much. Yes the ride is a bit stiffer but I don't mind I do like the look and the shinkas are beautiful. If I take a hit selling them that's okay I'll just go back to stockers would mind doing a direct trade back to OEM's but I bought new tires as well so I'd need some cash to offset that cost.
