What do you guys think of this test pipe on ebay?
It's no name from the looks of it.. the price seems good, but I'm worried that since its not branded it might be a POS test pipe.

spend the extra and go with some locally-made quality stuff - Ultimate Racing Test Pipe (http://www.ultimate-racing.com/xcart/product.php?productid=165&cat=98&page=1)

Ok, I wasn't sure.. your right, better safe than sorry and probably better to spend the extra $$.
If I was to do an exhaust upgrade on my MS3.. should I start with the DP? and work from there?

Get a catted dp and cut out the largest resonator.

So if I get the catted DP, does the test pipe replace the first resonator? which I assume is the largest of both?
Here is the dp i'm looking at

or maybe the dp from CP-E
I know SU and Cobb have catted dp's as well.

I'm thinking of getting a DP as well (not THAT kinda DP :chuckle). Most likely the UR one. Are these parts available from the vendors? Or would I have to get it from the states along with some super inflated fees?

Most catted downpipes replace the midpipe, except of course the UR one you are looking at... Which is why it is $300 cheaper than others on the market.
Get the Cobb DP, my friend has one and the car runs awesome and sounds even better.

Yeah, Cpe or cobb's dp's replace the test pipe/ mid pipe with it.

I would be worried with the welds of the flanges on the testpipe for long term use

So basically the CP-e or Cobb will replace all the way up to the cb? Basically it will remove the first resonator?

It doesn't remove any resonators. Resonators are on your cat back exhaust. Go to street unit and look at the exhaust system picture they have there. That'll answer all your questions.

Ok, I see now.. ya I think I'll go with a Cobb or CP-e DP then. Hehe now I have to decide if I want the dp first or an AP :chuckle
I just noticed on the CP-E dp, they give you the option to get a "Spun Metallic Cat converter" for an extra $152. What does this do and is it worth getting if I went with the CP-e?
I gotta do some reading, I have no clue what these extra options do.. like the Wideband o2 bung and cap.

Get the Cobb, I've read that the CP-e has some issues with the cat failing.

That replaces your stock Cat with a high flow Cat. The resonator is on the stock cat-back exhaust. It is just there to muffle sound. Pay a muffler shop $60 bucks to cut it out and replace it with straight pipe. The DP is what gives you the added power, while cutting the resonator out adds sound without having to pay $600-700 for an aftermarket cat-back. The stock cat-back already has good flow, so you might as well use it.

"It will gain a lot of hp after you change the test pipe" :sad
