So i'm not too sure how to put this, i'm wondering what the going price for a oem deck is, with MP3 and SAT RADIO button and INFO button.. with LCD and without.

I'm thinking of selling my deck but honeslty i can;t seem to find the average cost for one

any input?

sorry if this is the wrong forum. mods please move if required

I think this one is a tricky one... It kinda comes down to supply and demand.
Most people already have the stock deck, and are going the opposite direction - aftermarket.

I cant really say there is a right price, more so what you feel you want for it.. and only the offers you get will tell you if you got into the sweet spot for pricing. There hasn't been much demand for a stock deck (no offense), so pricing it relative to going an aftermarket route might help set your general ball park. IE - I'd rather buy another stock deck than go aftermarket because it made more sense financially.

Hope this helps a bit

I am not sure if this would help you, but I found this: http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=110192.0

Don't expect to get much, since its proprietary and all.

lol wow! i have to say this might be an annomoly..

i recall a few going on this board (more than a year ago or so) for much higher..

but i guess as stated earlier it comes down to supply and demand...

i replaced it with a DNX9140 back in sept, but i cant help but think i could get a decent return on the HU lol.

guess i will keep looking at prices

Honestly though, I'd keep the OEM. Its not worth selling if you ever have the aftermarket deck die on you.

+1. It's not worth it, say in 3-4 years your get an awesome deal on <Insert Dream car here>, so you sell your Mazda3. However, you want to use the DNX9140 in the new car, so you switch it over. However, since you sold the old HU, the Mazda3 has a huge hole in the dash. Now you have to find the stock deck to put it back, or else the resale value goes to crap.

The extra $100~ or so is nice, but not worth it IMO.
