Okay, so I tried to finance through them for a Mazda 3 GT, (all sorts of bad customer service I had there). Meh.
Anyways, I signed the papers and all of that, and so I put down a deposit of $1000.00, and subject of approval from the financing company, if I get the car or not. So I got declined and I had to find that out, none of them could call me and tell me. So do I get my deposit back? Becuase it is subject on approval.
And then, when I called that finance manager (not Jeff) to ask him, I'd like my $1000.00 back, he's like "Uh, can't talk to you now buddy, I'll talk to you about that on Monday and maybe have a talk with the bank and see what they can do for you, and maybe help you out"...
I'm like WTF kind of shitty service is this? It was subject on approval, if I got declined, I'd like my $1000.00 back and ADIOS!
Goddamn, they are making it more difficult than I thought.
In general, I got shitty service from em'.

Shoulda dealt with Jeff. Now you can't even if you wanted to.
I would have just walked in and said give me my money back. It's not like they can do it over the phone anyway. ;)

Wait, so I can't deal with Jeff? Really. Oh that sucks. I did ask for him and he wasn't there. Anyways, had some pretty shitty overall experience, the guy I dealt with before for new sales, he was good, but was all over the place. Besides, I think I got a bad deal, so I'm glad the financing didn't approve, lol. Just want to get back my money back, haha. And what's up with the dude telling me that he's going to work a deal with the bank? I mean, once if I got declined, I got declined. That's it, lol.

Not true. I remember when i got my civic they didn't approve me either and what they did over 3 weeks was fight with honda finance. They finally let me do it but i have to put down $2500 security deposit. Or ask for co signer which i really don't want to at the time.

I don't get you. As in, you didn't get back the $2500.00 and they managed to finally approve you for the car? Because if they can't approve me, I'd like my money back. That's what they said.

He is saying that they asked for $2500 down or get a co-signer to get approved. That's what most dealers would do if you get declined.
You're entitled to your money back, no doubt about it.
Just wait until Monday and show up in person, forget the phone...

Ah, thanks for the clarification. But yeah, in my situation, since I got declined. I'd like my money back. But the guy just keeps on shoving it down my throat on how he could try and make it work.

In my honest opinion, I don't think Mazda of Toronto is what people make it out to be, it's not as great as people say. Maybe if you deal with Jeff, it's a whole other level. But if you deal with anyone else in that dealership, it can be a bad experience as well.

Did you actually go in and talk to someone? or are you just doing this all over the phone. Go into the dealership and don't leave till they help you out.

I think every dealer is the same. You have to have some sort of leverage.
Such as being on the board and knowing people such as Jeff which is also on the board.
A bad review on this board may be damaging, they don't want that.
Otherwise, you're just like any other customer that walks in and they are going to try to take you.
Good luck with your purchase.
