I have now driven close to 3000KM's on a 2010 Mazda 3 GT 6speed and still am encountering two very annoying issues with this car.

a) Clutch feel is aweful. I am finding that I feel engine vibration when I release the clutch especially from 1st to 2nd and/or when the revs are higher. The clutch has always felt weird from day one with a creeky sound when depressed. I have taken it to dealer who says to wait it out and break it in...Anyone else notice this?
b) Very annoying front end vibration feel when applying gas at speeds around 80KM/hr. Feel this even in the gas pedal, in 5th or 6th as I accelerate. One theory I have is that I am still breaking the engine in and this will go away..Any comments would be appreciated..

I have driven 5 Mazdas before, all were standard except the MPV..and none of then felt like this! Its very annoying and I am ready to call Mazda Canada for some advice..
Oh and if anyone has info on any TSB's for this model that may shed some light...

Thanks for reading..

I read a thread here that the creeking noise might be an issue with the clutch linkage (i just can't find the thread, sorry). I'd say the added vibration your feeling actually supports this.

I'd suggest taking the car for look at one of the more reputal dealerships, Like MOT or Oakville and see what the tech's there have to say?

Thanks. I bought the car from Maple Mazda. The techs seem polite and educated, yet it always seems to be a battle to get a problem diagnosed and repaired at any dealership.
I'm going to approach them with the clutch linkage issue and I will look for a thread on this. Hopefully that gets me somewhere..

The break in excuse is nothing but pure BS. If things are vibrating and squeaking from day one, they will only get worse not better. Remember that clutch is only covered for 12 months or 12k km or something like that, after that it will be considered as a wear item.

This dealer is just trying to delay the problem, hoping that you will come back when the clutch is no longer covered, then I bet they will find a problem and will try to charge you for it.

Get this diagnosed and fixed now while it’s still covered.

Agreed! What I have been forced to do in the past is call Mazda Canada and complain ;-) The dealer is not happy with me for that, but it sure works! I find that after sales service in at least two Mazda dealerships is really bad. Once they get your business its "who are you?"
I was even convinced to get the added comprehensive coverage but if the clutch is wear, then I feel gypped..again! Maybe last Mazda I ever get :-( and learn my previous lessons.

So now I have emailed the service manager, updated him on the current status and am waiting for his course of action. I am just shocked that such an obvious issue has no TSB? I am sure I am not the only one with this problem.
